Which format should I choose?

JPG works well for photos and is widely compatible. PNG preserves transparency. WebP provides transparency and adjustable compression for the web.

Does conversion increase resolution?

No. The chosen width is a maximum. Smaller images keep their dimensions and the original aspect ratio is always preserved.

Can I convert HEIC or GIF?

This first version accepts only static JPG, PNG and WebP. GIF, HEIC, SVG and animated images are not supported yet.

Do I need to install anything or create an account?

No. Open Prontio in an up-to-date browser and select your files. Up to 20 files per batch, 20 MB per file and 50 MB in total. Images can be up to 24 megapixels and 16,000 pixels on either side.

How to convert PNG to JPG or WebP to PNG

Select your files, choose Output format and click Convert image. PNG is useful for logos and transparency; JPG is often suitable for photos. Converting PNG to JPG fills transparent areas with white. Choosing PNG cannot restore details already lost in the original.

Convert several files at once

Convert up to 20 images per batch and download results individually or as a ZIP. Maximum width limits dimensions without enlarging smaller images. Static JPG, PNG and WebP are supported; HEIC, animated GIF and SVG are not.
